Coca-Cola Europacific Partners NZ joins the Climate Leaders Coalition

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners New Zealand (CCEP NZ) is proud to sign up to the Climate Leaders Coalition (CLC) in a move that’ll enhance its approach to sustainability and reinforce its commitment to climate action.

Wendy Rayner, CCEP NZ Manging Director says, “this as an opportunity for our business to participate in a community who, like us, are committed to playing their part on climate action. Sustainability is a commitment we take seriously to ensure the work we do has minimal impact on the climate, our people, and the communities we are a part of”.

For Sustainability Programme Manager, Jenna Pepper, being part of the CLC is an exciting step forward for CCEP NZ, “I’m excited by this opportunity as it aligns with the work we’ve been doing on climate; for example, in recent months, we have replaced the LPG- run boiler in Christchurch with an electric one, and CCEP NZ is the product partner of a groundbreaking initiative led by Swire Shipping Ltd for heavy freight by connecting zero emission Heavy Electric Vehicle’s (HEV) with coastal shipping.

"Joining the CLC is a natural next step as we continue the important work we are doing under the Climate pillar of our global sustainability action plan, This Is Forward”.

The Climate Leaders Coalition is a CEO – led community of organisations leading the response to climate change through collective, transparent, and meaningful action on mitigation and adaptation. Launching in 2018, the CLC includes other leading New Zealand businesses.
