Coca-Cola European Partners makes €20 million investment at our plant in Knetzgau, Germany

On 12 July, Sven Boomgaarden, Regional Production Director and Berthold Götz, Plant Manager officially opened our new €20 million bottling line in Knetzgau (Bavaria, Germany). The line is among the most modern in Germany with a capacity of 60,000 bottles per hour. It integrates several production steps: from creating bottles out of preforms through filling to labelling. The expansion means we’ve also created 15 new positions at the site, supporting our duel commitments to invest in both the future of our company and in the local economy.

Knetzgau is one of our largest production sites in Germany with an annual bottling volume of around 45 million cases. We have five production lines at the site, producing classic and no-sugar Coca-Cola products.

Knetzgau has been part of the local community for the past 40 years and we’re proud of the local nature of our business. We continued to celebrate the opening of the new line and recognise employees’ hard work with a party for them and their families on 16 July.
